Who We Are
About Kafakumba Clinic
Kafakumba Clinic is a private, Christ-centered medical facility approved by the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).We are located in the Copperbelt of Zambia, Africa between Ndola and Kitwe and Luanshya. Our mission is to raise the standard of healthcare in the Copperbelt to meet international benchmarks while remaining compassionate, affordable, and rooted in faith.
The clinic opened its doors in 2022, but the Kafakumba ministry has a much longer history. Founded in 1999 in Zambia—and originally established over 50 years ago in the Democratic Republic of Congo—Kafakumba was started by missionaries Ken and Lorraine Enright. Today, their second and third generations, alongside many dedicated partners, continue to carry the vision forward.

Founder of the Clinic & Clinical Manager
Kafakumba Clinic was born out of a vision to bring better healthcare to the local community in Zambia, Africa. Elinda Steury, an ICU-trained nurse and nursing professor, saw firsthand through the death of her brother in an auto accident in 2017 the need for accessible and compassionate medical care in the local area.
With faith and determination, she spearheaded the building of the clinic which opened in 2022. This was made possible through the generosity of wonderfully generous international donors. Today, Kafakumba Clinic stands as a place for “Christ-Centered Care,” committed to serving every patient with excellence, dignity, and the love of Christ.
