Kafakumba Christian School
KCS was founded from the vision of Lorraine Enright, who had a deep heart for the children in the surrounding communities. What began as a preschool outreach program, quickly grew as families saw the value of continuing their children’s education with us.
In 2017, KCS was officially registered as a private school with the Ministry of Education. Today, we are thrilled to be in our brand-new school building (opened September 2025), creating a stronger learning environment and laying a solid foundation for future generations.

God's Kids
“God’s Kids” is Kafakumba’s after school ministry, bringing the love and teachings of God to children from surrounding communities. Lorraine Enright was the heart and driving force behind this ministry, running daily after-school programs for children in neighboring towns and villages until her passing in 2016. Today, Mama Therese, Pastor Kilembo’s wife, lovingly carries on Lorraine’s vision, guiding and inspiring a new generation of children in their faith journey.

Kafakumba Preschool
Approximately 90% of a child’s brain development is complete by age 5, with the early years being a critical and foundational period for the brain’s growth and the formation of neural connections that influence lifelong learning and behavior. Positive early experiences including love and nutrition are crucial for setting children up for success. We do not want to miss this critical window and the addition of a preschool in early 2024 is one step in the right direction.
Kids Camps
We are blessed to have a wonderful community of generous volunteers who bring joy and energy to our Kafakumba kids. Throughout the year, we host holiday programs and Vacation Bible School, led by these dedicated helpers. You may see Jenn Morgan sharing her gift of music with the children or Kirsty Lickfold organizing fun holiday programs. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who pours love and support into the lives of our kids.
